At ChatterBox Theatres, we believe theatre is far more than a hobby or an after-school class. It is a way of seeing the world, of understanding people, and of understanding yourself.

A safe place to begin. A bold place to grow.

Stepping into the spotlight can feel like the bravest thing in the world. We make that step feel safe. No idea is too strange, no voice too quiet, no question too small. Here, young people explore freely, create fearlessly, and show it to the world.

We follow the Trinity College London syllabus

Our children’s programs (ages 6 to 15) follow the Trinity College London speech and drama syllabus, from Initial through Grade 8. Every child builds internationally recognised skills, with room to play, imagine, and be themselves.

Is your child shy or nervous to speak up?

  • Goes quiet around new people
  • Nervous to speak up in class
  • More screen time than play time

That’s where most of our students start. In small, friendly batches they practise speaking, acting and performing, and their confidence builds week by week.

About the Founder: Nikita Bajpai

Nikita Bajpai, founder of ChatterBox Theatres

Nikita Bajpai is an educator at heart, a photographer by passion, and a lifelong admirer of theatre. She holds a postgraduate degree in Photography Design from the National Institute of Design (NID), India, and the University for the Creative Arts, Farnham, UK, and another in International Education from ITARI, affiliated with the University of Birmingham. Her career has spanned edtech companies and IB schools, and over a decade as a professional photographer, before she founded ChatterBox Theatres.

A keen theatre-goer, Nikita was struck by the boldness of actors on stage and wondered what children could learn from the art form. The answer, she found, is a great deal: to speak confidently before an audience, build empathy, stay present, and let go of self-consciousness. ChatterBox was born from that belief. And someday, Nikita hopes to step onto the stage herself.

Why theatre?

We focus on employability and learning skills: skills used in the real world.

The skillHow ChatterBox builds it
Communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to explain concisely and clearly. Build communication skills through the performance material, working on vocal and physical skills that convey meaning, character and story to an audience. Through reflection, students develop their skills by responding articulately.
CreativityAbility to apply knowledge from different areas to solve a task and respond to challenges with original and imaginative solutions. Performance-based tasks support students in building their creativity as they realise material for performance and make interpretive choices.
Working under pressure and deadlinesAbility to manage workload that comes with deadlines. The challenge of preparing thoroughly for plays, skits, performances and exams is an excellent measure of this skill area.
Organisation skillsAbility to organise methodically, plan to meet deadlines and targets, monitor progress. Students research and prepare their performance pieces and take responsibility for building their character: not only the physical appearance but also the deeper behavioral aspects.
Critical thinking skillsAbility to analyse material and deconstruct it to understand how language and meaning can have specific impacts. Through rehearsing and preparing for performance, students hone their critical thinking and analytical skills.
ConfidenceBelief in one's ability to complete a task and speak up in front of an audience. Preparing for both performance and the exam itself builds students' belief in themselves and their abilities.
